Autumn Holidays trip (Central Otago War Memorials)
Here are the war Memorials in the Taieri, Maniototo, Central Otago and the Clutha District.
During the holidays, I took some photos around Otago. Mum and I travelled on four State Highways (SH1, SH8, SH85 and SH87).
Our first stop was Outram, and from there we travelled via Highway 87 past the Rock and Pillar Range, through the Maniototo to Alexandra. We then returned to Dunedin via Highways 8 and 1.
When we stopped off at various towns, we got out and took photos of war memorials, Roxburgh Dam, Wedderburn Goods Shed & Ophir Post & Telegraph Office.
We stopped for lunch at Ranfurly (Hot Dog and Chips) and Alexandra (Cookie and Coke at Subway). Our journey was 400km and took 6 hours and 5 minutes.
The highlight of my journey was the Art Deco buildings in Ranfurly, which were re-built in the 1930's after damage by fires.

Last week of the 1st term
For Gian's farewell, Aidan did a farewell speech and I did the All Black haka, Ka Mate!
We all had a morning tea, there were two gifts for Gian, a leaving card and a t-shirt.
Finally, he's off to Timaru (194km NE of Dunedin).
In Geography, I have been studying weather (storms and droughts).
In Deutsch, I've worked on Te Kura (The Correspondence School) booklets, I've made a good speech.
